Below are listed some favorite training routes of the Highlands Ranch Running Club. The distances are suggestions and can be modified based on ability or training focus.
Daniels Park
Difficulty: Difficult
Terrain: Mostly dirt road with some asphalt and concrete sidewalk
Start: Southridge Recreation Center
Map: Daniels Park 8.5M

Highline Canal Trail
Difficulty: Easy
Terrain: Dirt path
Start: Redstone, DeKoevend or County Line
Maps:  Highline at Redstone 14m, Highline at DeKoevend 12m, Highline at Countyline 12m

Platte River
Difficulty: Easy
Terrain: Dirt path or concrete sidewalk
Start: Carson Nature Center
Map:  Platte River Trail 10M

Bluffs Regional Park
Difficulty: Difficult
Terrain: Dirt Road and concrete sidewalk
Start: Bluffs Regional Park, Heritage Park or Road Runner Sports
Maps:  Bluffs to East West Trail 9M,  11M from Heritage Park to Bluffs, Road Runner Sports 12M

​Waterton Canyon
Difficulty: Moderate
Terrain:Dirt Road
Start: Waterton Canyon Trailhead
Map:  Waterton to Dam and back 13M

Chatfield State Park

Difficulty: Moderate
Terrain: Asphalt and dirt road on top of Dam
Start: Highline Canal Trailhead on Roxborough Road, North of Titan Road
