As you have likely seen, many parts of Colorado, including the south metro area, has seen a resurgence in positive cases of the COVID-19 virus. This raises the possibility that you, your families, coworkers, or even your running buddies may have been exposed through possible contact. Please know that simply being exposed to the virus does not necessarily mean that you will contract it or transmit it to other people.
The health, wellness, and safety of our members and guests are our top priorities. We ask that you continue follow the current CDC and State/County guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus and monitor yourself and those around you for any COVID-19 like symptoms*. If you or a family member does develop symptoms, contact your healthcare professional for guidance. Remember, if you do not feel well, please do not come out to a club run. If you or a family member has been exposed, please follow CDC guidelines regarding quarantine procedures and testing. You can review testing location and access free testing through Tri County Health at https://www.tchd.org/827/Testing-for-COVID-19
Additionally, remember our club rules in place for your safety: Only runners and spectators who have signed waivers are allowed. Everyone, including but not limited to runners, coaches and spectators, must adhere to six-foot social distancing at all times. Participants must conduct personal symptom assessment, prior to attending a Club event. Anyone experiencing symptoms* or has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days must adhere to CDC guidelines regarding quarantine and testing. Masks are strongly encouraged especially before and after the run. Masks are required when six-foot social distancing is not possible. Please note, some local trailheads require masks prior to setting out. Runners must bring and use their own hydration. HRRC will not provide water stations. All personal items should be kept in a separate space (car, bike). No spitting, sunflower seeds, etc. Runners are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer and sanitize often. No touch rule – runners should refrain from high fives, handshake lines, and other physical contact with other participants. A “tip of the cap” can be used following the run in lieu of touching.
